Patricia Zander

Patricia “Pat” (Cliver) Zander, of Glen Mills PA, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. She was 87.

She is survived by her sons William T. Zander, II (Joseph), Charles “Ched” Zander (Kristyann); her grandson, Cole T. Zander; her brother Donald J. Cliver (Joan); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. “Butch” Zander; her parents, Harvey G. and Rosanna H. “Rosalie” (Craig) Cliver; her siblings, Albert H. Cliver, Edward J. Cliver, George F. Cliver, James R. Cliver, Rosalie A. Keegan, Louis Cliver, Phillip Cliver, and Betty M. Heacock.

Pat was born, raised, and spent most of her life in Bristol Borough, PA, and had the distinction of being the first one in her family to graduate from high school. She went on to work in clerical and bookkeeping roles across diverse industries, such as newspapers, banks, and insurance.

Later in life Pat stepped into positions that included accounting in a retail setting, data entry, and logistics.

With so many brothers and sisters, family was very important to Pat. In addition to taking care of both of her parents later in their lives, she greatly enjoyed spending time with her siblings, her sons, and their families. Outside of family she enjoyed reading (especially mysteries, detective stories, and legal thrillers), solving Wonderword puzzles, putting together jigsaw puzzles, as well as drawing and coloring. She was a fan of police procedurals and home improvement shows, and also enjoyed watching the birds at the birdfeeder. Pat also had a fondness for Fritz’s baked goods and anything chocolate.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 11am until noon, followed by a sharing of memories, at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

She will be cremated at a later date and her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband at Bristol Cemetery.
