Obituary of Sharon D. Sykes-Royer

Sharon D. Sykes-Royer, age 67, of Media, PA, passed suddenly on Monday, February 6, 2017. Sharon was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Brookhaven, PA. She started her banking career at Delaware County National Bank and through mergers, ended her banking career at Fidelity Bank. Sharon was also employed by L.J. Stephens in Tinicum, PA. She enjoyed spending time at the NJ shore, sewing, crafting, quilting, spending time in Lancaster, PA, shopping, reading and playing on her IPad. She also had a love for her collection of buttons, Jiminy Cricket and Mickey Mouse. She was the daughter of the late Doris McCoy Dinkel; her husbands the late Daniel W. Sykes and Byron Royer. Survivors: Daughters: Dawn M. Schneider of Fond du Lac, WI and Kelley (Joe) Royer-Marek of Lancaster, PA Son: Daniel J. Sykes of Media, PA Sister: Karen (Tony) DeCostanza of Dover, DE Grandchildren: Megan, Kristin and Kenneth Godson: Hezekiah E. Thomas Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and family Funeral Service: Monday, February 13th at 3:00 pm at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Visitation: Monday, February 13th after 1:30PM at the funeral home. Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery
