Obituary of William P. Davidson, Sr.

William P. “Bill” Davidson, Sr., age 84, a resident of Brookhaven, PA, since 1961, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 1, 2018. Bill was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, Class of 1953.  He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1956-1958.  Bill was the Owner of Davidson’s Auto Service in Lansdowne, PA, retiring in 2008.  Mr. Davidson was a longtime active parishioner of the Church of Our Lady of Charity, Brookhaven, PA.

Bill was a board member and held the position of Treasurer at Oceans Edge Condo Association in Sea Isle City, NJ. He was a longtime member of the Brookhaven Swim Club.  Bill was a member of the Automobile Owners Associations and Pennsylvania State Inspection Association.  He was a lover of cars and enjoyed watching NASCAR and attending car shows.  Bill was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports and the Villanova Wildcats.  Most of all, Bill cherished being with his children and participating with his grandchildren’s activities and was their biggest fan.

 

Son of the late William D. and Ellen V. (Crossen) Davidson; husband of the late Kathleen F. (Hilbert) Davidson and brother of the late Paul Davidson.

 

Survivors:

Daughters: Kathleen F. (Peter) Correnti of Garnet Valley, PA and Susan M. Davidson of Newark, DE

Sons: William P. (Linda) Davidson, Jr., of Swedesboro/Logan Twp., NJ, and Thomas (Rebecca) Davidson of Brookhaven, PA

Grandchildren: William, Peter, Jena, Kaitlin (Johnny), Ryan, Eric, Julia and Katie.

 

Funeral Service: Friday, July 6th at 10:30AM at The Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

 

Visitation: Thursday, July 5th from 6:30-8:30PM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063 and Friday, July 6th from 9:30-10:15AM at The Church of Our Lady of Charity.

 

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
