Obituary of Joycelyn Fay Gillespie

Joycelyn F. (Jones) Gillespie, age 86, a lifelong resident of Eddystone, PA, died Thursday, July 5, 2018.  Joycelyn was a graduate of Eddystone High School, Class of 1947.  Mrs. Gillespie was employed with Philadelphia Electric and retired after 23 years.  She was a member of Eddystone United Methodist Church, and the Eddystone Ladies Auxiliary.  Joycelyn was the town crossing guard for 19 years.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Donald E. and Mabel (Kelly) Jones; Wife of the late Henry F. Gillespie and sister of the late Donald Jones. 

Survivors:

Children: Donna (the late Glenn) Harmon of Claymont, DE, Claire (Bob) Fisher of W. Deptford, NJ, Greg (Joan Willoughby) Gillespie of Ridley Park, PA, and Henry (Anna) Gillespie of W. Deptford, NJ.

Grandchildren: Claire (Kevin), Josh (Liz), Melanie, Kelli, Danny and Stephanie (Jay).

Also survived by 8 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service:  Tuesday, July 10^th at 11:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Visitation: Monday, July 9th from 7:00-9:00PM and Tuesday, July 10^th from 10:00-10:45AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Media, (Middletown Twp.) PA.

Interment: Chester Rural Cemetery.
