Obituary of Thomas F. McKenna
Thomas Francis McKenna of Media, PA, originally from Marcus Hook, passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved wife and children on July 27, 2020 after putting up a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Tom built a beautiful life and family, celebrating 47 years of marriage to Sandy, two children Brian (loving wife Kerri) and Kristi (loving husband Eric), and three active grandsons (Keegan age 4, Nolan age 3, and Maverick age 1) that always loved to play and snuggle with Pop Pop. Tom was a hard worker and owned his business of McKenna Painting and Papering Inc. for 40+ years that he enjoyed doing to the very end.
On Tom’s downtime he was found with family, traveling the world, enjoying their home down south at Sunset Beach, or on the golf course. Tom played at some amazing golf courses over the years from Pebble Beach in CA, to Kapalua in HI, to St. Andrews in Scotland, but he enjoyed even the simplest days playing (and usually coaching) with his family and beloved golf friends.
Tom was a role model of a man on how to be a dedicated, hardworking, and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather, that will be truly missed, but his memories will be cherished by his loving family: Sisters; Theresa (John Baxter) McKenna & Ann (Mark Jeffery) McKenna, Brothers; Joe (Dawn) McKenna, Dennis (Donna) McKenna, & Dave (Denise) Artrip, nieces and nephews, and preceded parents Francis and Delores McKenna.
