Obituary of Barbara Mary Bonner Horner

Barbara Mary Bonner Horner, age 93, of Media, PA, formerly of Merchantville, NJ, died Sunday, November 15, 2020 at her son’s home in Columbus, OH. Barb worked at Roosevelt Elementary School as a teacher’s aide in the Special Education Classroom before beginning her employment at Elwyn Institute in the Davidson School Elementary Program. Barb was active in the Middletown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in the 1960’s. She was an active member in the Merchantville Women’s Club for many years. Barb was a member of the Chester Chapter of the Eastern Star before moving to New Jersey in the early 80’s and joining the Merchantville Chapter. She was a Past Worthy Matron for both the PA and NJ Eastern Star Chapters. She received a Grand Appointment representing the State of New Jersey. Daughter of the late Marguerite (Weiler) Wagner, step-daughter of the late Anthony Wagner, cousin, Thomas Flynn and former husbands, William P. Steward and Robert H. Horner. Survivors: Sons: Robert R. Titter (Ruth Thompson) of Ohio, Raymond C. Titter (Roe Patterson) of Pennsylvania Daughter: Rita (Titter) Joseph (Robert A. Joseph) of Michigan Step Sons: Robert Steward (Linda Sension) of Delaware, William Steward (Nancy) of Delaware 10 Grandchildren 20 Great Grandchildren Also survived by many nieces and nephews Cherished friend Dawn Schmidt (New Jersey) Visitation: Saturday, November 21st after 10:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
