Obituary of Robert J. Clancy, Sr.

Robert J. Clancy, Sr., age 82, “Past Fire Chief of South Media Fire & Rescue Co. #1” of Media, PA, formerly of Wallingford, PA, died Friday, December 25, 2020 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. He was born August 5, 1938. Bob was a graduate of various advanced fire schools and was involved in mentoring and training many young firefighters. Bob was a devoted member of the South Media Fire & Rescue Company #1 for 65 years. Bob was employed at Wells Fargo Bank for 24 years and was a self-employed landscaper for more than 30 years, as well as a Nether Providence Code Enforcement Officer. Bob was a member of the Springfield Stamp Club of Delaware County for 10 years. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. Father of the late David T. Clancy. Survivors: Wife: Patricia A. (Lane) Clancy Sons: Robert J. Clancy, Jr. and his wife Robin and John R. Clancy Sr., and his wife Jaclyn Sisters: Barbara Morris and Mary Elizabeth Pawley Grandchildren: John Jr., Michael, Megan and Jake Visitation: Thursday, January 14th from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
