I am so sorry for the whole family. What a gift Juanita was to so many! I have such nice memories of the few times I got to see her. The first was Karen and Bill's wedding some 40 years ago. After that it was our vacation at the Outer Banks to celebrate my parents' (and Bill's parents') 50th wedding anniversary in 1996. Then in 2004 there was the 50th birthday party surprise for Bill. Juanita hosted my mother and me in her home after we flew in from Atlanta. What fun that was! And then there was Anita and William's wedding and then Mark and Kristen's a few years later. I will remember her as someone who always had a smile and was gentle, fun and kind. In reading the tribute that Anita posted on Facebook a few days ago, it made me want to be an even more "hands on" grandmother with my grandkids and to make a lasting impact on their lives as Juanita did with hers. May the Lord comfort each and every one of you at this hard time, as you rest on the beautiful promise of His Word: "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." Until we have all completed our journey Home, much love from me.
