I just wanted to say one final "Thank you" to you for everything you did for me. After hearing the perspectives of and tributes to you from Stacey, Joe, Terrence, and Kenny, I have a greater appreciation of the role you played not only in my life, but theirs as well. I wish you could have stayed longer to see your grandchildren grow up, as I know how much you loved them and how proud of them you were. But I am grateful for the time you did get to spend with them. I will miss getting your voicemails that would invariably begin with: "Dave, this is your father...." And, of course, whenever I hear oldies music or see somebody drive by in an old car, I will not be able to help but think of you. If I am able to take any comfort in your passing, it is in knowing that you no longer have to suffer through any pain. Rest in peace, dad. Love, Dave
