Rose Giuliano

Obituary of Rose M. Giuliano

Rose Giuliano, long-time Springfield resident, has died on November 28, 2021 at age 96, joining her beloved husband, Peter, daughter Rose Waldron (John Waldron, deceased), as well as sisters Connie, Caroline, Helen, and Annarita. It is sure to be a loving reunion and quite the party! As an ardent volunteer and a woman of faith in her Springfield Delco community, Rose eventually became an active and inspiring resident of Granite Farms Estates, Media for 20 years, volunteering in the library, performing the duties of Secretary for the Residents Association, and becoming a charter member and captain of the Wii Bowling League. Her sense of fun and participation in so many activities endeared her to both residents and staff. Probably her most significant effort was her loyalty and commitment to her friends who eventually moved to the Skilled Nursing Unit, where she visited weekly to read together, say a prayer, or share a joke. A consummate hostess, Rose was still offering treats to visitors, even as her illness caused her also to need extra care. She was blessed to have her sister, Dolores DeMarco, as a frequent visitor during her stay in Skilled Nursing.

Above all, her greatest achievement, besides her career as a medical transcriptionist, was being a wife, mother, and doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by daughter Christine (Lee Hauslein), grandchildren Beth, John (Joanna), Jim (Erin) Waldron, David (Kerry), and Christian (Stephanie) Hauslein, and great-grandchildren Rebecca, Emily, Henry, Sam, and Rose.

If a successful life is the daily joy, good will, love and generosity one spreads throughout one’s life, our mother, Rose Maggitti Giuliano was successful indeed.

Services and Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation https://www.dvnf.org/
