Obituary of Frank A. Samsel

Frank A. Samsel, age 89, of Newark, DE, formerly of Chester, PA, died Friday, March 4, 2022 at home.  He was born July 14, 1932 in Chester, PA, and was a graduate of Chester High School.

Frank was employed as a mechanic with Sun Ship Co. and then later at Golden Mechanic Company. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, during the Korean Conflict serving on the USS Tumult Ship. Frank was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupational Service Medal.

Frank enjoyed watching horse racing at Delaware Park and listening to country music. Most of all, Frank was devoted to his family and cherished the times they spent together.

Son of the late Frank and Bernice (Farrell) Samsel 

Husband of 49 years to the late Arline F. Samsel

Survivors:

Daughter: Frances (Phil) Popo

Son: Frank (Michele) Samsel

Sister: Phyllis Kind

Grandchildren: Lindsay, Frank (Haley) Jr.

Great-Granddaughter: Hazel Mae

Visitation: Thursday, March 10^th from 10:00-10:45AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Thursday, March 10^th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park.
