Obituary of Carol Schaffer Whartnaby

Carole Schaffer Whartnaby, age 80, of Upper Chichester, PA, formerly of Clifton Heights, PA, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. Carole was born July 21, 1941 and was a graduate of Upper Darby High School.  

Carole was a member of the Edgmont Country Club, where she was an avid golfer. She was extremely active in the wrestling community.  She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time at the beach.  Carole looked forward to her bi-weekly dinner with the girls. She was always ready to volunteer at the election polls whenever she was needed. Carole was an animal lover and rescued her dog Daisy, which she adored.  Most of all, Carole was devoted to her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Frank H. and Dorothy (Brearley) Schaffer; Wife of the late Robert D. Whartnaby, Sr.; Sister of the late Barbara (George) Baldwin; Aunt of the late Gary J. Young, Jr., and predeceased by many aunts and uncles. 

Survivors:

Daughter: Stacey Whartnaby of Upper Chichester, PA.

Son and Daughter-in-law: Robert D. and Jennifer Whartnaby, Jr. of Upper Chichester, PA.

Step-Daughter: Donna Marini of Florida

Grandchildren: Courtney (Nick), Bobby, J.D., Chase, Ryley, Grady, Dana, Megan and Katie.

Great-Grandchildren: James and Alex

Niece: Karen (Gary) Young

Nephew: Alan Baldwin

Great Nieces and Nephews: Lauren, Casey (Drew), David and Michelle.

Services and Interment will be private.
