I am so sorry to hear of Mary Ellen’s death. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I first met Mary Ellen almost 50 years ago in my first job. She took me under her wing and helped me grow. She was a great mentor. When I got married, she made my beautiful wedding gown, then gifted it to me as a wedding present. She even saved a piece of the gown’s material and used it to make a Baptism dress for my daughter. She was truly one of the most thoughtful, caring, and generous individuals that I have ever known. My sincere condolences to her family.
To Billy and his family!
Billy you may not remember me as you were very young when my sister Dianna Kerestus passed away. Mary and you were always at her home in Parkside after she adopted a sweet boy from Korea. I am thinking of you and your brother and sister and your families today. Mary and my sister were inseparable in so many ways many years ago.
Mary was responsible and encouraged my sister to adopt a child from Korea just as you had been. She also adopted a little girl, Jenny and she was in heaven enjoying them both as the years went by. Unfortunately, life took an unexpected turn and Jenny and John lost her when they were only 14 and 9 years old.
Mary was always at her house when my Nephew/Godson John came into our lives. It was very special to her to have such a dear friend so share the stories about you and LilJohn(as we called him) and to watch you two grow and play together. You two were always at one another's houses and your Mom I recall was a regular at my sisters house in Parkside. She was always so caring to my niece Jenny after my sisters passing as it was a hard time for Jenny and John when she died.
On a personal level, I remember Mary always willing to sew/alter my work clothing. She was a very kind and gentle lady. I had not seen her until many years after my sister passed that she was working at the Brookhaven Boro. She was still the same Mary I had known way back when. My deepest condolences to you all and hope that my sister and Mary are finally getting reacquainted in heaven where I know in my heart they both are!

May God continued to bless Mary’s family as they are going through grief of loss. May God help the Seeley families to call on their reminisces of her to give them so comfort. Please please call on me whenever you need me. My email address patricialewis0917@gmail.com. Thank you for sharing a small memory of Mary

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.. bfy
I was so upset to hear of your Mom’s passing. Although I had not talked to her since she left the Borough, I will always remember the good talks and times we had whenever I went to the Borough hall. What a wonderful
and giving person that God gave you to be your Mother.
Keep making her proud of you all, because that is what she always talked about. I will keep her in my prayers.

Mary was an absolutely wonderful person. One could ALWAYS count on her for a friendly smile and kind words. We go back to 1986 waiting for our kids to get off or on the OLC school bus. She was a dedicated Mom, who loved her children dearly. She was always beyond helpful at the Brookhaven Boro Hall. What a great lady. My prayers and condolences to her family.
To the Buddle Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. May she rest peacefully in heaven.

Dear Family of Mary, I met Mary, Bill and Renee (and their lovely children), and Jeff at Bruce Rennard's home one Thanksgiving day. Her great love for her family was obvious. Because Mary and I continued to see each other for additional Thanksgivings at Bruce's this gave us time to chat, giving me the great pleasure of getting to know her humorous, kind, giving and generous character. And as I would say to Mary, "You are the best cook, and your turkey gravy is beyond delicious." Praying that God builds a protective hedge of healing and comfort surrounding the family's hearts. Sincere condolences to Mary's entire family. Elayne Christiansen.
