Obituary of Shirley Bones

Shirley Bones, age 93, of Aston Twp., PA, formerly of Linwood, PA, died peacefully at home on Monday, June 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Bones was born November 16, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Edna Hartley Howard.  

A woman of faith, Shirley was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church in Aston, PA for more than 60 years.  She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and visited Europe several times with her husband and family. 

As a homemaker, what brought Shirley her most joy was being with her family and life long friends.  Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog, Dazzle, were her delight, and Shirley especially loved spending time with all of them. She enjoyed being outdoors at her home planting flowers in her garden.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Bones and her mother, Edna Howard.

Daughters:  Eileen and Janet
Sons:  David (Anne) and Jeffrey
Grandchildren:  Wallace, Lauren (Roman), Katie, and Erin (Matt)
Also survived by 6 Great-Grandchildren

Graveside Service, Friday, June 17th at 11:30AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 4010 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014.
