Obituary of Betty A. Gruehn

Betty Addington Gruehn, age 86, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Plano, TX, and Serverna Park, MD, died on Monday, June 27, 2022.  Betty was born and raised in St. Paul, VA.  She attended Castlewood High School in VA, and graduated from Mary Washington College, VA.

Betty was a member of Serverna Park United Methodist Church for 40 years, where she was active in leading Bible studies, and Young Life.  She has been a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Thornton, PA for the past 5 years.  Betty was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was an avid birdwatcher, enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay and shopping.  Most of all, Betty was a wonderful wife and mother and cherished her family.

Daughter of the late Lonnie and Emily Addington; wife of 53 years to Wayne H. Gruehn.

Survivors:

Sons: David W. Gruehn of Plano, TX, Michael A. Gruehn of Plano, TX and Jeffrey (Janice) Gruehn of Glen Mills, PA.

Grandchildren: Rachel Gruehn, CPA, Alyssa Gruehn, William Wayne Gruehn, Samuel Stuart Gruehn, Marjorie Elise (Connor) Wayne

Sister: Joan Pence

Visitation: Wednesday, July 6th at 10:30AM at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 4 Westtown Rd., Thornton, PA 19373.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 6th at 11:00AM at Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

Interment: Private.
