Condolences
I so sorry to hear this. Johnny was my 1st guitar teacher back in 1967. I think I still have the Mel Bay book from that time. I remember Johnny as a nice guy, and patient to this 16yo poor student.
Charmaine,
I’m just hearing about this . . . John was one of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever known. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I'm so saddened to learn of John's passing. Mr Kay was my guitar teacher throughout most of the 80s. He made music fun and, as a result, I never stopped playing; what a special gift he gave me. Please accept my deepest sympathy
Charmaine and family, Jeri and I are so sad to hear of the passing of John. He was a great guy who we always enjoyed being around. He taught me a lot about making videos and the editing process! Not to mention, the real history of rock and roll! May all of the great memories provide some peace and strength during this very difficult time. Rest in Peace John and God Speed!.
Charmaine,
I took guitar lessons with John in the '70's and '80's, he gave me a great musical foundation that I continue to enjoy to this day. He was an excellent teacher. My condolences to you and his loved ones.

Charmaine and Family, I'm so sad to hear of Johns passing. I will miss watching him feeding the animals out back. You are both such beautiful souls! You have taken such good care of each other and it was always evident to me how much you love each other. May he rest in peace. Blessings and prayers coming your way. Love Bonnie
Many fond memories working with John and Charmaine on videos at Chevron refinery and in Claymont.
Judy and I send thoughts and prayers Charmaine and John's family.
