Obituary of Shirley G. Wallace

 

Shirley Greenwalt Wallace, age 87, of Aston, PA, formerly of Chester, PA, died Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Shirley was born on February 12, 1935 and was a graduate of Chester High School.  Shirley was an Administrative Assistant with Sun Oil and a salesperson with World Book Encyclopedia.

 

Shirley was a founding member of St. Timothy’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star Friendship (Chapter 551-Prospect Park); and a member of the Red Hat Society.  

Shirley enjoyed cooking and made the best mac n cheese, pecan pie and pumpkin cheesecake.

She looked forward to traveling and was a talented seamstress. Most of all, Shirley cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

 

Daughter of the late Joseph and Adele Noyak Greenwalt; Wife of the late Robert Lewis Wallace, Sr., Mother of the late Robert Lewis Wallace, Jr., sister of the late Adele Igo, Ruth Stevenson, Arthur Greenwalt, Joseph Greenwalt, Melvin Greenwalt, Daughter-in-law of the late William F. and Susie Smith Wallace and preceded in death by 4 brothers-in-law and 5 sisters-in-law.

 

Daughter: Wendy J. Wallace (Gary Varney)

Grandchildren: Robert Varney, Adeline Varney, Olivia Varney Plunkett (Jon)

Kaitlin W. Bradley (Harrison Bradley) Kierstin W. Butts (Matthew Butts), Samantha Wallace

Great-Grandchildren: Miriam and Arthur Bradley, Jaxon Plunkett.

 

Visitation: Friday, August 5th from 9:45-10:45AM at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 535 Lamp Post Lane, Aston, PA 19014, an Eastern Star Service (Chapter 551-Prospect Park) will be held at 10:50AM, followed by the religious service at 11:00AM

 

Interment will be private at Allen Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery, Allen, Maryland.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
