Obituary of Bernard L. Orsini
Bernard “Benny” L. Orsini was a hard working and caring father, grandfather, husband, brother, and friend. He departed this world at the age of 90 on August 3, 2022.
He was born in Landsdowne, PA on January 15, 1932. There he met his wife Elizabeth “Betty” (née Grady) who passed in June of 2010. He is survived by his son Thomas B. Orsini of Brookhaven, his daughter, Linda Napoletano (Antonio) of Springfield, his granddaughters Angela Napoletano (Mark Arnone) and Emily Orsini, and his sister, Marie Gaeta.
Ben was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He spent his career as a Forman for the Delaware County Dept. of Parks and Recreation as well as a Landscaper. He enjoyed gardening and was known for his vegetable gardens, especially his home grown Brandywine tomatoes. An avid outdoorsmen, he loved hunting and fishing and frequented upstate Pennsylvania. He enjoyed baseball and a home cooked meal of rigatoni with meat sauce.
Ben was a born story teller and loved to tell a good joke. He often reminded friends and family not to take any wooden nickels.
Visitation: Thursday, August 11th from 9:30-10:15AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.
Funeral Mass: Thursday, August 11th at 10:30AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity.
Interment with Military Honors at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
