Obituary of Betty M. Kelley

Betty M. Kelley, age 96, a longtime resident of Brookhaven, PA, died on February 4, 2023. She was a woman of faith and was an active parishioner of the Church of Our Lady of Charity. Mrs. Kelley was devoted to the society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Betty was very active in Brookhaven Borough, where she was a member of the Recreation Board, the Board of Governors of Brookhaven Swim Club, former President of Brookhaven Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Board of Health, and the Town Watch through which she attended the Citizens Police Academy. She was a member of the Social Club of Traditions Community, a member of the American Legion Aston Post #926 and a volunteer at Crozer Hospital for more than 30 years.

Betty cherished spending time with her family and friends. A kind and generous person, Betty was an inspiration to others with her courage and giving nature. She will be greatly missed and eternally remembered, by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Wife of the late William H. Kelley; Grandmother of the late Larry Katzmire.

Daughter: Peggy (Larry) Katzmire of Auburndale, Florida

Son: Gary (Mary Lou) Kelley of Kirkwood, PA

Grandchildren: Aaron (Martina) and Kirsten (Chelsea) Kelley

Visitation: Wednesday,  February 8^th from 6:00-8:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063 and Thursday, February 9^th 10:30-11:15AM at St. Francis de Sales Church, 35 New Rd., Aston, PA 19014.

Funeral Mass: Thursday, February 9^th at 11:30AM at the Church of St. Francis de Sales.

Interment: St. Thomas the Apostle Churchyard.
