Obituary of Stephanie Lynn Cornell

Stephanie Lynn Cornell, age 53, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Brookhaven, PA, died suddenly on June 6, 2023.   Stephanie will be dearly missed and in her time of death, she was able to give the gift of life to others as an organ donor.

Steph was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Class of 1988. She then graduated from Millersville University and Villanova with her Master’s in Education.  Stephanie was an elementary school teacher at Garnet Valley School District. Steph was in the exchange program and taught English in China.

Stephanie was a longtime member of Middletown Presbyterian Church, where she was active with the youth group.  She also was active with Wilmington Children’s Theater and taught children’s drama.  She loved music, playing the piano and singing. Steph and her mom traveled in their RV through the U.S. and Canada.

Predeceased by her Father, John Cornell and her Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.

Sister: Christie (Darren) Strain

Also survived by family and friends.

Visitation:  Friday, June 16^th from 10:00-10:45AM at Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S. Old Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Friday, June 16^th at 11:00AM at Middletown Presbyterian Church.

Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park.
