Obituary of Joan D. Galvin

Joan D. (Nee Sakers) Galvin, age 91, of Aston, PA, formerly of Chester, PA, died at home peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Joan was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1950.  She was an underwriter with Brokerage Professional, Media, PA, and was a devoted employee to Patrick V. Larkin.  She enjoyed her job, was loyal and worked extremely hard.

Joan love to read and was an avid Phillies fan.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to many.

Daughter of the late Robert L. Sakers and Josephine E. Lassiter Sakers; Sister of the late David Sakers and Grandmother of the late Christopher Galvin.

Survivors:

Sons: Joseph E. (Debra) Galvin of Texas, Jay A. Galvin of Aston, PA.

Daughter: Linda (Charles) DiSalvo of Aston, PA.

Brother: Robert (Sue) Sakers of Georgia

Grandchildren: Dr. Dale S. DiSlavo (James Kane, Esq.) of Washington, Joseph E. (Sherea) Glavin III of Texas , Samantha Galvin of Texas

Great-Grandchildren: Makayla Galvin, Rebecca Sachez

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Thursday, June 22^nd after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

Graveside Service:  Thursday, June 22^nd at 11:15AM.

Interment: Lawn Croft Cemetery.
