There are no words to express the loss of a loved one. Knowing he now rest in the arms of god should give us all peace of mind. Rest in peace Steve.

Steve and I were a year apart in high school and I only casually knew him to say hello. In the mid 70’s a group of us started renting a summer home in Avalon and in the 2nd year Steve joined us as a housemate. There were 10 of us but on any given weekend we’d have a full house. Steve would bring his brothers Rick and Barry and we’d always find room.
Steve was a great friend. We prided ourselves by just being a group of guys with no labels, who worked hard during the week and partied hard on the weekends. We watched out for each other and never got into conflicts with each other (for the most part). We’ve maintained our friendships for the past almost 50 years and 3 years ago made a pact to meet on the 2nd Thursday in August to lift a toast to the friends who have gone on before us. Next August will be rough with Steve not being with us.
I extend Eileen’s and my deepest condolences to all of Steve’s family and friends. Any conversations we had, Steve would talk of his family and his pride in his nephews, nieces and their children.
Rest well my friend!!!
Goodbye dear friend. I hope they have the Lincoln Town car shining bright and the keys waiting for you at the gates. Better known as the Rugman you could always depend on Steve to watch over his friends and bring them home safely. I will remember him as a thoughtful caring guy who kept all life's details stored safely away to recall at a moment"s notice, and bring a smile or laugh at the endless memories he could recall. You'll be missed, but welcomed by those who went before. Hope they have a rum and coke waiting.
