Obituary of John C. Brooks, Sr.

 

John C. Brooks Sr., age 65 of Delaware City, DE, formerly of Upland, PA, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

John was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1976.  He worked at Christiana Care Hospital for 24 years.

John was extremely active with his children and in their younger years, he volunteered as the Octorara softball coach.

John loved spending time camping at Broadkill Beach, enjoying fishing and crabbing.   He was a NASCAR fan and a huge supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers.  Most of all, John loved his family and cherished the time they spent together. 

Son of the late James and Anna (Shelton) Brooks; Brother of the late William T. Brooks, Anna Ruckle and Patricia Brooks.

Loving Wife: Stephanie DiSabatino Brooks

Son: John C. Brooks, Jr.

Daughters: Cheri (Jesse) James and Jessica Brooks

Grandchildren: Danielle Risser, Anthony Polizzi, Charity James, Carolynn Polizzi, Luke James, David Polizzi

Brother: James A. Brooks

Sister: Judith L. Wittko

Step-Son: Stephan (Nicole) Mann

Step-Daughter: Christen (Jeff) Woerner

Step-Grandchildren: Ryleigh Woerner, Natalie Mann, Addison Mann

Visitation: Friday, January 5th from 10:00-11:15AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Friday, January 5th at 11:30AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Chester Rural Cemetery.
