Obituary of Dayle H. Stare
Dayle H. Stare, age 81, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Broomall, PA, and Annville, PA, died on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Riddle Village Monticello House, Media, PA.
Dayle was born October 24, 1942. He graduated from Hershey High School and then Hershey Jr. College with an Associate’s Degree. Dayle went on to graduate from Lebanon Valley College with a BA in Math, Penn State University with an MA in Math. Dayle was awarded many educational grants from the National Science Foundation which allowed him to continue his education with advance math summer courses, including at NYU.
Dayle was a Professor at Susquehanna University, Lebanon Valley College and Delaware County Community College. Dayle also was a Mathematician and an Officer in product development at Provident Mutual Life Insurance for 30 years. He was a consultant to Hawaiian Life Insurance Company.
Mr. Stare was a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church, Broomall, PA. He was a member of the Brownstone Masonic Lodge No. 666 F&A.M in Hershey, PA.
Dayle enjoyed archery, bicycle riding and exercising diligently. He extensively traveled to every state in the United States as well as Mexico, Europe, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand. Dayle played on many adult baseball teams.
Son of the late Irvin and Kathryn Stare; Son-in-law to the late Charlotte and James Knarr; Brother-in-law to the late Samuel and Lyn Knarr.

Wife of 53 years: Charlotte F. (Knarr) Stare
Son: Brian (Karen) Stare
Daughter: Allison (Ryan) Tomkinson
Grandchildren: Noelle, Sloane, and Finn
Also survived by a brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, January 18th from 5:00-6:45PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
Funeral Service: Thursday, January 18th at 7:00PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be private in Lebanon, PA.
