Obituary of Manson E. Lown, Jr.

Manson (Mel) E. Lown, Jr. passed on June 13th.  Surviving him are his wife of 46 years, Sandra (Scola), sons Matthew Lown (Shannon), Dougie Ferguson (deceased), Andrew (Elizabeth) Ferguson and Eric (Susan) Ferguson. Also, three adoring grandchildren, Lindsay Ferguson, and twins Mason and Madden Lown, who will miss Pop.

Mel was a kind, loving and witty man, who cherished family. He was a voracious reader, skilled woodworker, and amateur gardener. The family is eternally grateful and would like to thank Main Line Health Hospice nurses and staff for the comfort and support given to him and the family as well.

Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children (donors@stjude.org) in Mel’s memory would be appreciated.  An informal gathering celebrating Mel’s life will be held at a later date.  May the angels lead you into paradise.
