Obituary of Robert L. Nolan
Robert L. Nolan, 74, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at his home in Aston surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born Sept. 18, 1937 in Nashville, TN. His family moved to Delaware County when he was very young. Bob attended parochial school at St. Francis de Sales in Lenni where he was a lifelong parishioner. Upon graduation from St Agnes High School in West Chester, class of '55, Bob enlisted in the US Air Force and as aircrew, traveled the globe.
He met his wife Carolyn Boggs of Greenville, SC, while stationed at Donaldson AFB. They returned to Aston, Pa and raised a large family of five children. He was a very active parent serving as a President of the Boosters Club at Sun Valley High School, and baseball coach at Aston Middletown Little League.
Bob worked 38 years at Allied/General Chemical, Claymont, DE as a millwright and machinist until he retired in 1997. He was an Officer in the United Steel Workers Union. Bob enjoyed golfing in retirement, loved vacationing at the beach and was an avid reader. His greatest joy was being with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents James and Lera.

Grandchlldren: Nicholas, Katelyn & Alison Nolan, Chelsea & Christie Armstrong, Leah & Claire Nolan, Ian & Riley Nolan and Nolan & Delaney Joyce.
