Obituary of Joan M. Birney

Joan M. (Miles) Birney, 76, of Aston, PA and formerly of Chester, PA died Monday, March 26, 2012 at home. Joan graduated from Chester Hospital with a Nursing Degree and was employed at Sacred Heart Hospital and the Manchester House until her retirement in 2001. Joan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and most all loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary for Feltonville Fire House and The Aston Lioness club. Joan enjoyed bowling, shopping, ceramics, cake decorating and feeding the squirrels and birds. Predeceased by her husband of 47 years Robert Birney, Sr., sons Russell Watkins and Randell Birney. Sister of the late Doris Marler SURVIVORS Daughters: Joanne (Presley) Carter of Aston, PA and Eileen (Dave) Bailey of Aston, PA Sons: Richard W. (Vivian) Watkins, Sr. of Newark, DE and Robert J.
