Obituary of M. Charlotte Moor

M. Charlotte (McFarland) Moor, age 84, died Sunday, April 21, 2013. Charlotte was born on October 12, 1928 and reared on New Road, Lenni, PA. She was a long time Upland resident and most recently a resident of Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Lima, PA. Charlotte attended St. Francis de Sales school and had been a lifetime parishioner. Charlotte was also a parishioner at Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven, PA. Mrs. Moor was employed at Alden Rug Mill, Kents Textile Mill, LaFrance Die Casting Co. and Sunrock Cooler Co. She was a member of the Lenni VFW, Upland Seniors, and The Mothers Club of St Francis de Sales Church. Charlotte cherished spending time with her family, playing bingo, sitting outdoors and having dinner parties with her friends at Fair Acres. Charlotte was the daughter of the late Aveny and Elizabeth McGuckin McFarland; wife of the late William A. Moor, Sr.; mother of the late William A. Moor, Jr. SURVIVORS Daughters: Constance Heffner (Tom) of Upland, PA and Sharon M. Jackson (Jim) of Texas Sons: Charles E. Moor (Sue) of VA, Thomas A. Moor (Mary) of Linwood, PA Daughter-in-law: Linda Moor of DE Sisters: Betty Hagner of Phoenixville, PA and Helen Murphy of MD 12 Grandchildren, 3 of which assisted with her care, Shannon Doyle of Brookhaven, PA, Melissa McClintock of Brookhaven, PA and Kimberly Boswell of Norwood, PA, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also 4 very special friends at Fair Acres: Francis Ennis, Amelia Passick, Marie Grossi and Anna Derenzi.
