Sandra "Sandy" M. (Carr) Jenkins, A Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother
Sandra "Sandy" M. (Carr) Jenkins, age 74, of Aston, PA and formerly of Glenolden, PA, Washington, DC and Chester, PA died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, after fighting a long and courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Sandy was born and raised in Chester, PA. She was a 1957 graduate of Chester High School, where she met her beloved husband, James "Jim" Jenkins, sharing 54 years of marriage.
After high school, Sandy worked with Sunroc, the FBI and later with the Interboro School District, as a Teacher's Aide and in the cafeteria. Sandy chose to use the majority of her time raising her three children in a loving home.
Sandy was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Aston, PA and a former member of the Blue Church, Springfield, PA. A woman of faith, she loved her Lord and studying his word.
Sandy loved animals, especially her dog, Bella, and traveling with her family throughout the continent of the US and Hawaii. Sandy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who most of all cherished the time spent with her family.
Sandy was the daughter of the late John "Dex" and Charlotte Carr.
