Obituary of William E. Lacy

Lt. Col. William E. Lacy William E. Lacy, age 90, died May 19, 2014, at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA. Mr. Lacy was born in Lafayette, Kentucky, on February 24, 1924, and grew up in Hopkinsville, KY. He originally entered the military service in the Army Air Corps after high school. He trained as a bomber pilot flying on the Douglas A-20. He later went on to Vanderbilt University Law School, and served as the head Judge Advocate on military bases all over the world, with his family at his side. He spent 33 years, 4 months and 9 days in the Air Force and served at numerous Strategic Air Command locations. He enjoyed playing tennis. Upon retirement, he and his wife Nancy resided in Florida near the Homestead Air Force base. Due to Hurricane Andrew, they relocated to suburban Philadelphia, in 1992. SURVIVORS Wife of 67 years, Nancy Murray Lacy He and Nancy have four children, William E. Lacy, Jr., Nancy McKoski, PhD, Tricia Gomella, MD and Rebecca Collins, MD, and six grandchildren. Funeral Services: will be Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM, at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, Kentucky Interment: Friday, May 23, 2014, 11:00 AM, in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, with full military honors.
