Obituary of Edward E. Carroll

Edward E. Carroll, "Eddie" age 89, died Saturday, January 31, 2015. Mr. Carroll was born in Morris Twp., NJ, and graduated from Larkspur Colorado High School. Eddie was formerly a 46 year resident of Bernardsville, NJ, in Somerset County. More recently, he had resided in Wallingford, PA, for the last 6 years. Edward was a Corporal of the U.S. Marine Corp., serving during WWII, with the V. Amphibious Corps Signal Battalion, during the battle of Iwo Jima. Mr. Carroll was employed with the U.S. Department of Interior, as a restoration architect. Being a gentleman farmer, he also enjoyed spending time on his farm and loved animals. Eddie enjoyed road racing, and was an avid runner. Eddie was the youngest of 13 children. Husband of 39 years, to the late Iris Galisch Carroll Survivors: Son: Peter M. Carroll of Wallingford, PA Brother: Robert Carroll of Morris Plains, NJ Services and Interment are private at the convenience of the family.
