Obituary of Bruno P. Micun, Sr. "Mike"

Bruno P. Micun, Sr., "Mike" age 91, of Aston, PA, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his home. Mike was a draftsman, first with the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard, retiring in 1979, and then with Newport News Ship Building in Morton, PA, retiring again in 1990. Mike was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII, in the Philippines. Mr. Micun was a longtime active member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Aston, PA. Mike was extremely involved in Aston Twp. He was an active member of the Aston Lions Club. Mike would dress up in a clown costume, for the local children throughout the holiday season. Mr. Micun was awarded the very 1st Citizen of the Year award, for Aston Twp. Mike also enjoyed collecting stamps, bowling, camping and was a devoted Phillies fan. Husband of the late Elaine V. Franklin Micun; father of the late Marjorie Wheeler Survivors: Daughters: Linda R. Michaels (Peter) of Milford, NH, and Barbara Jean Micun of Huntersville,NC Sons: Paul M. Micun (Carol) of Aston, PA, Bruno P Micun, Jr. (Cathy) of Huntersville, NC and Richard T. Micun of Aston, Pa 16 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren Funeral Service: Thursday, at 11:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, where there will be an Aston Township Lions Service at 10:45AM Visitation: Thursday, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home Interment: Private Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Bruno P.
