Obituary of Mabel June Owsley
Mabel June (Harsch) Owsley, age 85, of Aston, PA, peacefully went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her loving family at home on Monday, November 30, 2015.
Mabel was born and raised in Chester and was a 1948 graduate of Chester High School. Mrs. Owsley was employed with Wawa in the payroll department for 17 years until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed volunteering with Wawa hospitality Coffee Cart serving families at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Mabel was devoted to her faith and was actively involved with Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, where she was a money counter and a member of the Busy Beavers and Willing Workers.
She enjoyed gardening and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mother of the late Richard J. Owsley, who died in 1996
Survivors:
Devoted Husband of 66 years: Joseph H. Owsley, Jr.
Daughters: Donna L. (Joseph) O'Berg and Barbara J. (Joseph) Barbosa
Sons: Joseph W. (Karen) Sr., Steven P. (Susan), Randal A. (Jane),
and Jeffrey S. (Karen) Owsley
Daughter-in-law: Julie Owsley
Brother-in-law: Sheldon Wildermuth
15 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren
